Chapter 02The family ledger

The story began in 2000.

Sunil Adhye began with an insurance practice. In 2008, a family crisis changed the practice. Yashashri carried it forward, and a second generation later joined her.

The whole story is the foundation

How the practice grew

Every ring records a year held.

The practice changed hands because life demanded it. Its perspective widened, the tools changed, and the responsibility to each family stayed the same.

  1. 2000

    The year 2000

    A practice built on protection

Sunil Adhye began an insurance practice as India's private insurance sector was opening. The work was personal from the start: helping families prepare for events they hoped would never come.

  2. 2008

    The family is tested

    Protection becomes personal

A medical complication changed the family's life overnight. Protection, continuity, and preparedness were no longer abstract ideas.

  3. 2009

    Yashashri takes the reins

    Continuity through uncertainty

Yashashri stepped into the practice and ensured that client families continued to be supported without interruption. Over the years that followed, she built the work around empathy, steadiness, and doing right by people when they were most vulnerable.

  4. 2015 / 2018

    A licence, then active work

    Udayan begins his role

Udayan received his first financial services licence in 2015. He began working more actively in the family practice in 2018, bringing a research-led approach shaped by data, scepticism, global perspective, and a willingness to change course when better evidence appears.

  5. Now

    The MoneyIQ chapter

    Two generations, one standard

Today, Yashashri and Udayan work together under the MoneyIQ name. The tools are newer and the research is broader, but the standard is unchanged: patience, clear explanations, and personal accountability in every relationship.

The partners

Different strengths. Shared accountability.

A mother-son partnership combining the continuity of long relationships with modern analytical precision.

Partner 01 / Partner / Continuity

Yashashri Sunil Adhye

When the family's life changed in 2008, Yashashri stepped into the practice during an extraordinarily difficult period. She kept client relationships intact and carried the work forward with empathy, steadiness, and a long memory. That continuity remains the foundation of MoneyIQ.

  • Serving client families since 2009
Partner 02 / Partner / Research & Vision

Udayan Adhye

Udayan received his first financial services licence in 2015 and began working more actively in the family practice in 2018. His approach combines research, macro evidence, and modern tools with a belief formed early: financial decisions matter most when a family is vulnerable. He leads MoneyIQ's investment research and client conversations alongside Yashashri.

What the story means

Two generations. One standard.

MoneyIQ was not born in a boardroom. It grew from a family tradition of managing wealth with care, discipline, and personal accountability.

For decades, our family has helped other families protect and grow what matters to them. That same work, those same values, and that same commitment now carry the MoneyIQ identity.

What has changed is the name, the research, and the tools. What has not changed is the responsibility we feel when another family trusts us with an important decision.

“We bring the same patience, scrutiny, and care to client conversations that we would want around our own family's money.”
